Introduction about GOD'S Love

From Journey the Word

God truly is love! It’s amazing! We cite many nouns in describing God, the truly existent God of all. God is Spirit, God is One, God is everywhere, and God is Love. Now, in terms of love, it involves human feelings. 1 John 4 describes God as Love twice. God is called agape (God loves humanity). This means that this is one of the characteristics of God. This means that God is the most self-sacrificial being in the universe, for coming down as Jesus and dying on the cross for our sins. Nonetheless, love is not our God, but our God is Love.

He is the perfect picture of what love really means. God chose to love this world, even if it were fallen and in error. We are His Beloved Humans. We respond to His Love, and we are blessed truly with new life. His unconditional self-sacrificial love is all we need to lead a truly awesome life.

GOD LOVES YOU! For John 3:16-18 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

If you know what GOD’s love is, however, you’d see it as unconditional and uncaused. You’d see GOD’s love as encompassing over everything. Love may be described as the most important thing ever in history. Because of love, GOD created the Earth. Because of love, GOD sent His Son (as referenced above), and allowed His Holy Spirit to come and dwell within us (John 20:22). GOD’s ultimate purpose for all this? To fellowship and share with His people, and to do it through love. Love never ends, just as stated above.

We did nothing to initiate this love. And even when we’ve sinned, caused every issue against humanity…GOD STILL LOVES US! So, if people judge you, are hateful toward you, and even despise you – there will still be GOD who LOVES YOU WITH ALL HIS HEART! His love never fails, never gives up, and never runs out (Psalm 107:1-22 and Psalm 136:1-26 and Lamentations 3:22-24).
